If I had the money...which reminds me, what happened to the art prints? Are they gone forever? I was going to buy some after I saved up some cash.

Your blog is great, (my english is too bad (french speaking)), I would like to ask you, have you always been so talented? I mean, were you a baby artist?

Your work is just unbelievable, Art's school is by far better than my business school... (tears...tears...tears...)

have a good day and bonne chance

Here's a topic I don't remember if you've ever addressed or not:

In this drawing, there's no hint of typography. I'd like to see some pre-production comps that give us (the fans) insight into your often experimental and revolutionary useage of type as imagery that you don't receive enough credit for.

Bravo Frank, that is a great question. I sure would like to know the answer to it. This drawing is just silky smooth. "Drink it up, it always goes down smooth".

May I congratulate you once again on the astounding (yet rightfully earned) sum you were able to collect on this latest drawing. This just encourages me in the belief that its possible to make more than a good living doing illustration when I grow up once my mature style comes to fruition sometime before my mid life crisis.

Thank heaven for fanboys! Without you, those who ply their trade in the comics field would have to content themselves with the rediculously low page rates and bizarrely worded and overarchingly proprietary boilerplate contracts of DC comics. Didn't you sign something, James, that says they own the publication rights to these things for "perpetuity throughout the known universe" or some such thing? Or are you sworn to strictest confidence? All I'm saying is, I appreciate the fact that you're able to counterbalance the soul purchasing strictures of these contracts with these lucrative e-bay auctions. in other words: in your face, DC Comics!

To be clear: "fanboy", meaning: the wonderful individual who purchased this picture.

Thank you all for the kind words. Yes, Jed, I signed a 'work for hire' agreement, which is something any illustrator should abhor. And it's certainly come back to haunt me.
